Appointment Of Deputy Chairman Strengthens Teamwork, Empowers Johor Education

ISKANDAR PUTERI, July 22 (Bernama) -- The appointment of a deputy chairman for the Johor Education and Information Committee will strengthen teamwork and help distribute tasks more effectively to reach the public.

State Education and Information Committee chairman Dr Muhammad Naqib Md Ghazali said the move enables agencies and initiatives under his portfolio to be managed systematically through a collaborative approach.

"With a deputy, it makes it easier for us to delegate tasks and work as a team. This allows us to engage with and listen to more people, thereby strengthening our delivery," he said.

He spoke to reporters after delivering his mandate at the Johor Education and Information Committee Chairman's Aspiration Ceremony with department and agency heads at the Johor Talent Development Council (JTDC) Office in Menara Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB), Kota Iskandar, here today.

Also present was the newly appointed deputy chairman of the State Education and Information Committee, V. Rugendran.

Dr Muhammad Naqib, who attended his first State Executive Council (EXCO) meeting chaired by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi earlier this morning, expressed his appreciation for the state leader's reminder to all appointed figures to serve the people to the best of their ability, regardless of race or religion.

He said that the education sector remains the core pillar of his portfolio in nurturing a resilient generation of Bangsa Johor to face future challenges.

He said special focus will be given to empowering education initiatives, including the implementation of the Sekolah Rintis Bangsa Johor and the expansion of the JTDC.

He is confident the vast experience of department heads and directors under his portfolio would drive effective teamwork and yield positive results for the state.

Earlier, Onn Hafiz announced the appointment of 10 State Government Committee deputy chairmen to reinforce the administration and expedite service delivery to the public.

He said the appointments aim to accelerate the resolution of public issues and ensure development policies are implemented effectively, equitably, and inclusively across all districts.
