Postal Forum Soft-Launches MyCSP Registration For Courier Safety Training

KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 (Bernama) -- Postal Forum, a self-regulatory body designated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), today soft-launched registration for the Malaysia Courier Safety Passport (MyCSP), a structured safety training programme developed specifically for the courier industry.

In a statement today, Postal Forum said the MyCSP comprises six core modules: Occupational Safety and Health, hazard and risk management in courier operations, basic ergonomics, road safety awareness, high-risk driving behaviours, and risk management and prevention.

The soft launch, held during the Courier Industry Safe Driving Challenge 2026 at MAEPS Serdang, has drawn an encouraging response from industry players, the statement added.

"Together, these modules provide participants with practical knowledge to improve workplace and road safety while supporting compliance with industry safety standards.

"With registration now open, courier service providers and personnel are encouraged to sign up ahead of the official launch later this year, with training set to begin in September 2026," the statement read.

Beyond strengthening courier personnel competency, the MyCSP is expected to establish a common safety benchmark for the industry, reduce accident-related costs, enhance professionalism among service providers, reinforce public confidence and support the sustainable growth of Malaysia's postal and courier sector.

Association of Malaysian Express Carriers (AMEC) president Ronald Tan described the MyCSP as a timely initiative that reflects the industry's shared commitment to strengthening safety standards.

"I encourage all courier service providers to embrace this programme and equip their personnel with the knowledge, skills and safety mindset needed to uphold the highest standards of workplace and operational safety,” Tan said in the statement, extending his congratulations on the soft launch of MyCSP registration.

Meanwhile, Postal Forum head Nurhafizah Hanifah said the soft launch of MyCSP represents a key milestone in the industry's ongoing journey towards higher safety standards and greater professionalism.

"With registration now open, we are helping to ensure that courier personnel are better equipped to perform their duties responsibly and safely.

"Ultimately, this contributes to greater consumer confidence, as safer operations and higher service standards go hand in hand in delivering a more trusted and resilient courier ecosystem," she said.

The registration launch coincided with the finale of the Courier Industry Safe Driving Challenge 2026, jointly organised by the Association of Malaysian Express Carriers (AMEC) and Postal Forum.

The challenge saw 26 courier professionals from City-Link Express (M) Sdn Bhd, Federal Express Services (M) Sdn Bhd, GD Express Sdn Bhd, J&T Express (M) Sdn Bhd, MTR Services Sdn Bhd, Pos Malaysia and Skynet Worldwide (M) Sdn Bhd competing across the motorcycle, van and truck categories.

They were put through their paces with assessments testing their knowledge, practical skills, and operational readiness, all based on real-world driving and workplace scenarios.

Prior to the finale, participants went through a preliminary round on July 11, which tested their theoretical knowledge, vehicle inspection skills, and hazard perception.

The Safe Driving Challenge was also designed to boost safety awareness, drive the adoption of best practices, strengthen technical know-how in road and workplace safety, improve industry compliance, build a stronger safety culture, and foster healthy competition, teamwork and professional excellence across the courier sector.
