National Month, Fly The Jalur Gemilang 2026 Launch Set For July 19 In Perak

KUALA LUMPUR, July 13 (Bernama) -- The National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2026 launch ceremony will be held on July 19 at  Institut Latihan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia Sultan Azlan Shah (ILKKM SAS) in Perak, marking the start of this year's National Month celebrations.

According to a post on the Merdeka360 Facebook page, the ceremony, scheduled to begin at 10 am, will be broadcast live on Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), BERNAMA TV, as well as via Facebook Live on the Merdeka360, Ministry of Communications and Department of Information Malaysia platforms.

"Fly the Jalur Gemilang, ignite the spirit of patriotism and embrace National Month 2026. Visit Merdeka360.my to download the official logo, patriotic songs and a wide range of promotional materials to help foster the national spirit," the post said.

The theme, "Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati" , has been chosen for this year's National Day and Malaysia Day 2026 (HKHM2026) celebrations, while the Malaysia MADANI logo has been retained as the official logo until next year.

The theme reflects the government's commitment to building a progressive, inclusive and prosperous nation based on the Malaysia MADANI framework. Grounded in the values of justice, humanity and public welfare, it underscores that the nation's prosperity should be enjoyed fairly and comprehensively by all Malaysians without exception.

Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil had previously announced that the 2026 National Day celebration would be held at Dataran Putrajaya on Aug 31 on a modest yet vibrant scale, while Malaysia Day 2026 on Sept 16 would be celebrated in Sarawak.

To enliven the HKHM2026 celebrations, seven supporting programmes and patriotic activities have been lined up nationwide, namely Kembara Bahasa HKHM, Quran Hour, Ambang Merdeka, Merdeka Countdown, RIUH Merdeka and the National Statesmen Commemoration Ceremony.
