TFC Signs Danial Amier To Bolster Midfield Ahead Of 2026/2027 Season

KUALA NERUS, July 10 (Bernama) -- Rumours surrounding the transfer of former Kuching City FC (KCFC) midfielder Muhammad Danial Amier Norhisham to the Turtles have finally been put to rest following an official announcement by Terengganu FC (TFC) today.

Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) chief operating officer Mohd Syahrizan Mohd Zain said the 29-year-old has agreed to a one-year deal with TFC, running from July 2026 to May 2027.

He said the addition of the former Harimau Malaya midfielder is expected to bolster TFC's midfield and help the team meet their targets for the 2026/2027 season.

"Danial Amier, who is also a former Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) player, possesses vast experience in the local league and has also featured on the international stage.

"His arrival is seen as capable of reinforcing and providing more depth to our midfield, which can be described as the heartbeat that moves the entire team," he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Danial Amier, in the same statement, said he is determined to work hard and give his full commitment to TFC, both in training and in matches.

The Kuala Lumpur-born player also shared his excitement, saying he could not wait to feature for TFC and that the club boasts a highly loyal and passionate fan base.

"Undoubtedly, the style of play in a new environment will differ from before. Therefore, I hope to adapt quickly to coach Nafuzi Zain's tactical system and build strong chemistry with my new teammates," he said.

Danial Amier becomes TFC's first new local player signing ahead of their Malaysia League (M-League) campaign this season.

The Turtles also announced yesterday the signing of foreign midfielder Manuel Ott on a one-year contract.
