Jordan Intercepts Eight Iranian Missiles Targeting Its Territory
AMMAN, July 9 (Bernama-QNA) -- Jordan's Armed Forces said Thursday that they intercepted and shot down eight missiles launched from Iran toward the kingdom.
Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported a military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces, quoted by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), said Jordan's air defence systems intercepted and destroyed the eight missiles fired from Iran toward Jordanian territory.
The source added that debris from the interceptions fell in several areas, but no injuries or property damage were reported.
The source also said the Jordanian Armed Forces are closely monitoring ongoing regional developments and remain at the highest level of readiness, stressing that they will not allow any violation of Jordanian airspace by any party.
