FBI Claims Seizure Of Over 600 Drones In FIFA World Cup's US Host Cities
WASHINGTON, July 5 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- More than 600 drones have been seized in the United States (US) host cities of the FIFA World Cup since the tournament began, Sputnik/RIA Novosti reported, citing the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
"Due to unprecedented law enforcement coordination, this FBI and our DHS partners have seized over 600 drones from restricted airspace across all 11 US host cities since the start of the FIFA World Cup tournament," the agency said on X.
For the first time, the World Cup is being held with 48 national teams across three countries: the US, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament will conclude on July 19.
