Three Men Killled In Two-Vehicle Crash Along Pan Borneo Highway
KUCHING, July 4 (Bernama) -- Three men were killed while another suffered minor injuries in a crash involving two four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles at a ‘P’ turning along the Pan Borneo Sarikei-Sibu Highway tonight.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department sent a team from Sarikei Fire and Rescue Station to the scene of the crash after receiving a call at 8.30 pm.
“Firefighters found that the crash involved a single cab and a double cab 4WD vehicle.
“Three men were in the double cab vehicle, one of them was thrown from the vehicle, and the other two were pinned in the vehicle. The driver of the single cab vehicle suffered minor injuries,” the department said in a statement tonight.
Firefighters used rescue equipment to remove the two pinned victims and all of them were handed over to Health Ministry officials before being handed to the police for further action.
The cause of the crash, along with the identities of the victims are still being determined by the authorities.
