KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 (Bernama) -- The Immigration Department detained 13 foreigners in a special operation at the Kelantan border yesterday after they were found to have tried to enter the country illegally.

"Bassed on public tipoffs and intelligence gathered, the operations team raided the first location around the bus terminal and detained eight Bangladeshi men, three Indonesian men and an Indonesian woman,” he said in a statement today, while a second raid on a housing estate led to the detention of a Myanmar woman.
The foreigners, 22 to 55, have been detained for further action under Section 6(1)(c) and Section 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
Four Bangladeshi passports, four Indonesian passports and a Proton Preve were also seized, he added.
