Prudential Launches Guided Care To Improve Access To Healthcare

KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 (Bernama) -- Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) has introduced Prudential Guided Care to help Malaysians access healthcare more easily, clearly and confidently.

It said the initiative, which is a network of healthcare support services, provides customers with medical coverage to obtain timely and appropriate treatment.

It added that the initiative comes amid growing concerns over access to healthcare, including uncertainty among the public about where to seek treatment.

“Findings from Prudential’s ‘Patient Voices Malaysia’ report revealed that 94 per cent of Malaysians have delayed seeking medical treatment, with 54 per cent citing uncertainty about where to seek care and concerns about affordability as among the main barriers,” PAMB said in a statement.

Recognising these gaps, Prudential Guided Care offers more than just conventional medical coverage by guiding and supporting customers at every stage of their healthcare journey, from initial consultation through to recovery.

PAMB said the initiative includes a range of services designed to simplify and enhance customers’ healthcare experience, including the Care Concierge that provides 24-hour access to healthcare specialists along with appointment booking assistance.

“The Case Management Service provides dedicated support through expert case management and access to second medical opinions, giving customers greater clarity from diagnosis through to recovery.

“The Homecare Programme, meanwhile, offers professional care and recovery support either at home or at a dedicated care centre for greater comfort and reassurance throughout the recovery process,” it added.

It added that all these services are complemented by additional features such as PRUPanel Plus, No Claims Benefit, day surgery benefits and advanced treatment support, thus creating a more comprehensive healthcare ecosystem for customers with Prudential medical plans.

PAMB chief health officer Manisha Keyal said healthcare should not feel overwhelming, especially during critical moments when individuals are their most vulnerable.
