TH’s ‘Cilik-cilik Dah Celik 2026’ Attracts 100 Young Families In The East Coast

KUALA TERENGGANU, July 10 (Bernama) -- The Cilik-Cilik Dah Celik 2026 programme organised by Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH), in strategic collaboration with the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK), has attracted the participation of 100 young families from Terengganu, Kelantan and Pahang.

TH Group managing director and chief executive officer Mustakim Mohamad said the programme, which was first introduced last year, delivered encouraging results based on financial performance indicators, proving the effectiveness of the modules and interventions implemented.

He said records showed that 92.3 per cent of the 100 families who participated in the pilot programme in the Klang Valley saved consistently, with 50 per cent of them successfully achieving savings exceeding RM1,000 within 100 days.

“Alhamdulillah, participants of last year’s Cilik-Cilik Dah Celik pilot programme recorded excellent results. More than 50 per cent achieved savings exceeding RM1,000 within 100 days, while 80 per cent showed positive improvements in financial attitudes, knowledge and behaviour.

“This achievement gives TH the confidence to expand the programme to the East Coast to produce a more financially literate generation. TH remains committed to helping the community build a strong financial foundation in preparation for performing the haj,” he said at the East Coast Region Cilik-Cilik Dah Celik programme here today.

Mustakim said the interactive learning modules help parents and children plan their finances more systematically, assess spending critically, and make wiser and more disciplined financial decisions.

He added that preparation for performing the haj should begin with cultivating a savings habit and practising sound financial management.

The Cilik-Cilik Dah Celik 2026 programme retains its existing format with six financial literacy modules covering mindset transformation, financial planning, cash flow management, wealth creation, protection against financial scams, and debt management.

“Participants will undergo a financial education workshop, financial simulation, online learning, gamification, as well as continuous monitoring of children’s savings.

“At the same time, TH also emphasises financial safety aspects by educating participants on identifying scam tactics, protecting personal data, and reporting to the authorities if they become victims of fraud attempts,” he said.

Meanwhile, one of the participants, Nur Nabilah Alias, in her 30s, said the programme helped her manage her finances more effectively and improve her family’s financial stability.

“Programmes like this are very important in nurturing a financially literate generation that is more prepared to face the future.

“Hopefully, the knowledge imparted and lessons learned will provide lasting benefits,” she said.
