KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Bernama) -- More than 40 hotels and accommodation providers across the Klang Valley and several other states are offering exclusive accommodation promotions in conjunction with Citrawarna 2026 to boost tourism during the festival and the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign.

Tourism Malaysia said in a statement today that the offers include attractive room rates and package deals aimed at providing visitors with comfortable accommodation across the Klang Valley and several other states.

“The promotions are available for booking from mid-July until mid-August 2026, providing an ideal option for visitors planning a short getaway in conjunction with the festival,” the statement said.

Visitors can enjoy the offers by booking directly through the participating hotels' official websites or by making direct bookings.

More information, including the list of participating hotels, package details and the Citra Rasa initiative, will be announced in stages via the @citrawarna.my and @malaysia.truly.asia social media platforms or through www.malaysia.travel

According to Tourism Malaysia, besides accommodation promotions, participating hotels are also supporting Citrawarna 2026 through the Citra Rasa (Colours of Flavour) initiative by introducing dishes inspired by the culinary heritage of every state in Malaysia at their respective cafes and restaurants.

"Through this authentic gastronomic initiative, visitors will have the opportunity to savour a diverse selection of traditional dishes rich in the unique flavours of Malaysia's culinary heritage," the statement said.

It said the collaboration between the agency and industry players reflects their shared commitment to strengthening Malaysia's position as a world-class cultural tourism destination.

"This strategic initiative not only enriches visitors' experience, but also supports inclusive tourism growth, empowers local communities, enhances industry resilience and drives sustainable economic development throughout the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign," the statement said.

Citrawarna 2026, themed "Rhythm of Heritage, Heartbeat of the Nation", will be held at Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur from July 24 to 26, showcasing Malaysia's diverse arts, culture, heritage and natural beauty to both domestic and international visitors.
