TDM To Conduct Joint Exercise With USA And Australian Army In Sabah Starting Tomorrow
KUALA LUMPUR, July 9 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Army (TDM), alongside the United States Army and the Australian Army, will conduct Exercise KERIS STRIKE Series 31/2026 around Kota Belud, Sabah, starting tomorrow until July 27.
TDM said that the primary objective of this annual exercise is to enhance interoperability and joint operational capabilities, while also serving as a strategic platform to strengthen military diplomacy with friendly nations.
"The exercise will concurrently boost TDM's preparedness level in facing dynamic regional security threats," the statement read.
TDM also informed the public that military convoys will be utilising routes between Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran, and Kota Belud.
"In relation to this, road users are advised to remain cautious and not to feel alarmed or panic upon seeing the presence of foreign military personnel, the movement of military asset convoys, or any tactical activities on the ground, particularly in Kota Belud.
"The local community is also requested to extend their full cooperation and refrain from spreading any speculation that could cause public anxiety," according to the statement.
