KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher in line with the positive performance of the cash market. 

The July 2026 and September 2026 contracts improved 18.5 points each to 1,687.0 and 1,668.5, respectively, while August 2026 jumped 19.5 points to 1,689.0, and December 2026 rose 17.5 points to 1,670.0. 

Turnover increased to 5,513 lots from 5,272 lots on Thursday, while open interest climbed to 33,787 contracts from 32,961 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI  jumped 17.22 points to 1,679.05 from Thursday's close of 1,661.83.
