Hextar Industries' Unit Secures RM138.4 Mln EPC Contract In Pulau Indah

KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 (Bernama) -- Hextar Industries Bhd's (HIB) 70 per cent-owned subsidiary, Hextar Mitai Sdn Bhd (HMSB), has secured a RM138.42 million engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a large-scale industrial development in Pulau Indah, Selangor.

The group said the contract, executed today with an unnamed private company engaged mainly in the investment of non-residential properties, involves providing structural, architectural finishes, landscape, infrastructure, mechanical and electrical works for five industrial buildings.

“The development comprises three production factories and warehouse buildings, two workers' hostel buildings and ancillary facilities,” HIB said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The project spans 80,928.52 square metres (8.09 hectares), with a gross floor area of about 101,801 square metres (10.18 hectares), it said.

HIB said works are expected to start on July 7, 2026, with completion targeted within 12 months.

“The actual completion shall be subject to confirmation by the contract awarder through the issuance of an official completion certificate,” it added.

In a press statement, group managing director Benny Ang said the contract marks another milestone in the growth of the group's civil engineering division.

“This contract reinforces our technical capabilities and strengthens our order book, providing greater earnings visibility while further enhancing our track record in delivering industrial infrastructure projects,” he said.

HIB executive director Alex Sham said the project is expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings upon the commencement of works.

“Coupled with the increasing demand for industrial infrastructure development in the Klang Valley, it further strengthens our EPC portfolio and positions us well to pursue similar opportunities in the future,” he said.

Main Market-listed HIB is a diversified industrial group with businesses spanning fertilisers, engineering services, industrial products, office supplies and food and beverage.
