Anwar Hopes Book Documenting His Ideas Will Serve As Reference For Future Generations
KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim hopes that the book, titled Gagasan Anwar Ibrahim Dalam Peradaban Budaya Bangsa, which compiles his ideas, views and life experiences, will serve as a reference for future generations, particularly on nation-building and character development.
In a Facebook post today, Anwar said he had the opportunity to review and provide feedback on the manuscript of the book, which was written by Professor Dr Salinah Ja’afar, a lecturer and linguist at the Academy of Malay Studies, Universiti Malaya.
Anwar also expressed appreciation for the contribution of eminent language scholar Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Nik Safiah Abdul Karim, who served as the book’s academic adviser during its preparation and development.
He said he was also interviewed exclusively by the two scholars to ensure the book comprehensively covers its intended content.
“I would like to thank the author for the effort to document and articulate my ideas, views and way of thinking, shaped by my life experiences and reading, which will be discussed in detail in this book.
“It is my hope that this publication will one day serve as a reference for future generations, particularly on nation-building and the development of personal values, for the benefit of all,” Anwar said.
