KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower in line with the weaker performance of the cash market. 

The July 2026 contract dropped 9.5 points to 1,661.0, the new August 2026 contract stood at 1,670.50, the September 2026 contract decreased 11 points to 1,642.5, and the December 2026 contract fell 10 points to 1,646.0.

Turnover declined to 7,205 lots from 12,448 lots on Tuesday, while open interest slipped to 33,937 contracts from 42,022 contracts yesterday.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI  eased by 7.23 points to 1,656.83 from Tuesday's close of 1,664.06.
