Public Satisfaction With Melaka Government’s Service Delivery Reaches 91.94 Pct
MELAKA, June 30 (Bernama) -- The rate of public satisfaction with the Melaka government’s public service delivery reached 91.94 per cent in 2025, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
He said one of the factors contributing to the increase in the percentage was the implementation of the Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat (WRUR) Programme, which involves civil servants from various government agencies engaging directly with residents in every state constituency to listen to and resolve public complaints and issues.
“Through the two-week WRUR programme held last year, civil servants have provided the best service to the people in resolving various issues, thus leading to a high level of public satisfaction.
"So, I would like to thank all civil servants for their support in implementing the state government’s policies and initiatives over the past year,” he told reporters here today.
He said this after officiating the 2026 Melaka Government Public Service Appreciation Ceremony, themed ‘Melaka Sayang Rakyat (MESRA): Teras Bakti, Pemacu Pertiwi’, which was also attended by Melaka State Secretary Datuk Azhar Arshad.
Ab Rauf said the state government is confident it is on the right track, thanks to the achievement, adding that during the first half of this year, Melaka continued to record more than 10 achievements and accolades at the state, national and international levels.
He said that, armed with this momentum, the state government intends to remain aggressive in targeting more than 20 achievements by the end of this year.
“I would like to emphasise that every recogntition is not an opportunity for us to become complacent, but instead send a clear message that the people’s expectations continue to grow.
“The greater the public’s trust, the greater the responsibility we must shoulder, and as such, I urge all civil servants to continue strengthening service delivery, particularly in carrying out their duties and helping the people,” he said.
He said the awards are not merely a form of recognition, but a trust to continue to be set an example, lead and instill a culture of excellence in the public service.
Meanwhile, he said the event’s theme reflects Melaka’s determination to ensure that every civil servant embodies the MESRA concept, which is the pulse of the state government’s administration in delivering the best service to the people.
“In line with the MESRA aspiration, which is the core of the state government’s administration, we will continue to build a public service that is trusted, respected and a source of pride for the people,” he said.
Earlier, at the ceremony, 379 state civil servants received the Excellent Service Award (APC), while 39 were presented with the Special Service Award (AKP), based on their 2025 performance evaluation.
